Alpha intake vent fix

I’ve seen many on here mention the snow injestion problem with the intake vents on the previous years cats. Many have asked if cat has fixed it. I noticed on my alpha these screws holding the vents in place for 19’. Hopefully this helps keep the gaps closed and prevent snow ingestion into the intranet tract.

I talked to country cat service department today. The guy said there is NO update for the 18 mountain cat intake gaps.
Only service updates are
Injector harness/routing update
Limiter strap bolt update
Jam nuts on driveshaft

I see Country cat was offering an updated kit from the 19s to fix the 18s. It was like 79.00. I ask my dealer also if cat was going to update the 18s and got told NO. But there is a kit if you want to order it and pay for it. Or just get some silicone and plug that gap.

Snow injection problem

I took my sleds to the dealer yesterday and also found that Arctic Cat doesn’t offer a fix for this issue. The dealer ran my vin# in the system and it only came up with the other issues like the jam nut and wire harness and I think the limiter strap.

Yep, making it an update means admitting there's a problem, and in turn is going to cost them money! Why would they want to do that? That's the kind of service we are getting for a 15k sled purchase.

Giant gap, sucks in snow and kills ur engine... not just shut it off but rebuilding time kill...
