Alloy brake lever from AC

Yes, I ran one part of last year. They look and feel nice. But instead of it breaking, it broke the master cylinder where the lever pins into. So now I run the plastic lever and keep the aluminum one in my tunnel bag for a backup. As silly as that sounds, the master cylinder costs a good bit more than a lever.
