Hi,

I just saw that my track show somes wear mark thats not suposed to.. Every 155'' owner i've talk with have the same exact problem! I'm riding only deep snow but the track still get this unusual wear between the clips.

Anybody here have this issue? The 163 model doesn't have this problem, only 155..

Thanks

Need to clip every one, not a skip pattern.
Cause, everyone wanted the lightest sled possible and now we must live with the consequence.

That has gotten hot, you can see hyfax stuck to the clips, not to mention you can tell that the clips have been hot from the wear marks and the color. Put your scratchers down.

yup, this is typical of a track thats not fully clipped- it got very hot at some point. scratchers not down/icy corn snow/riding double will do this. you must have melted a set of hifax in conjunction with this.

Likely from rubbing on the end of the hifax at the back of the rails. Side hilling would compound the issue, IMO. Why not just add some clips if it's an issue.

Poo tracks have a very simple alternating lug pattern, left to right. No clips on the lugged end of the track rod (as you can guess, clips alternate, too.)

Run the recommended track tension, too. The way these lighter tracks cavitate in front of the rails, coming off the drivers, if they are too loose does nothing good for wear.

Mine looks same way and have ran with scratchers down alot almost all the time and my hyfax are still like new also

Hifax looks brand new! and yes there is a paddle in this area. Its look like the paddle applying to much pressure on sidehill

If there is a paddle just below that area, that is the issue, I bet the row fwd and aft of this has no paddle and no clip? I have seen this problem years ago. If the clips were positioned on the row where there is a paddle directly below it would solve the issue. My CE 3" is clipped every other and ABOVE the paddle, guess what? No issues at all on icy crap trails.

By chance, do u ride on one ski down the trail? I do, just because i can. It puts a lot more pressure on the outside of the hifax and track.

Scratcher always down and i ride only deep powder..

Well I went and checked mine and its also doing it, I've mostly ridden in the powder and scratchers down on the trail! Since polaris eliminated the outer rubber guide/nubs the track will float to far from side to side and rub on the edge of the hyfax! If you look on the inside guides and clips there is more than enough clearance to let it float either way. I would assume this is happening when sidehilling mostly. And yes I do have my track tension set correctly.

Mine wasn't doing this till this weekend. I think it may be due to high speeds down the trail since that's the only thing I did different this weekend. I have a 163 3"

Have the same issue on a 3" 155. Have to run the tracks tight on the 3" and the snow has been great this year so far and still the same problem. I will go with the clip every hole. 99.9% riders will never notice any change in performance.
