Alberta Bound

I got the call to work on a rig by Brooks Alberta (half way between Calgary and Medicine Hat), and i was just wondering what kind of riding there is around that area. Or if i should just take the two hour drive to the mountains.

Also, how are the road conditions east of Calgary from that nasty storm that went through?

Not much for riding other than some ditch banging around the Brooks area. We are an hour south of Brooks and we usually travel to Castle, Corbin, Atlas or Fernie. Pretty sure the roads will be ok other than some blowing snow.

yep i would recomend coming out to crowsnest pass/fernie. Good place for a flatlander to come explore mtn riding. I know cause I used to be a flatlander:face-icon-small-ton

Thanks, i would want to check that out, but i don't have anyone to ride with. Is there any place closer to brooks? That's like a four hour drive, would prefer something a little less.

If anyone would go for a bag with me some time next month that would be deadly, i doubt i'll have the time this month.

Edit:
I got a gopro cam too so can record some footage. Just looking to have someone to show a flatlander around in mountains. I wont be too aggressive mainly just trying to get use to the mountains.

crowsnest is the closest mtn riding to you by an hour. i'll most likely be able to show you around if your down this way.

Your only chance of a dyno down in Brooks would be at A&E racing. Kawasaki shop on the east side of town, just north of the #1 highway.

Clayton in Tilley use to have a dyno, but times have been slow around there,he may not be around anymore. It was called MultiTech 403 377-2552.

How long would it take to get dyno'd? I don't get more then one day off at a time, unless i book holidays off, so i was looking to book a couple days off work, to be able to put my sled back together, then get it on a dyno, break in the D&D f8 kit, and get it tuned.
