Down here in Kenai there are two of us. My buddy Adam and I have ridden 2moto kits the last couple years this year he got a MH and I built my own kit similar to a MH. Just a couple of weekends ago we ran into our first other rider, a guy from anchorage, he said he's on snowest occasionally so maybe you'll hear from him. I ride mostly up lost lake area. Hopefully we'll see you on the snow.

Are any of you Guys going to Arctic man in the spring??
We will come over with a couple bikes and a bunch of 2skis from the Yukon.
We go riding and Boarding down Valdez for a few days and then up to Arctic man for the Events there.

Joel and some of us were just talking about checking that out for the first time. There's a guy in Valdez that has a TS and I'm sure he'd love hanging with you while you were there. I'll see if he's up for it. I watched an "Alaska State Troopers" episode on Nat Geo about the Arctic Man event, and the nights look just a bit crazy.. Things noted were..don't drink and drive..anything, and don't spit your blood on the Troopers, they hate that.
Hey I have been thinking of going to Arctic Man, but first I will try out Tail Gate Alaska which is up on Thompson Pass. I live in Valdez and I am on my first snowbike setup (a 13' MH kit) and enjoying it so far but I need some riding partners. I have heard that Arctic Man can be mellow if you stay away from the trouble, I met a family that has been going and taking their kids for the last 10 years.
I would love to meet up especially if you guys are coming down this way, have been getting some good riding in here and there but still waiting for that perfect day. Went out yesterday for an hour, it was blowing 30 mph and about 5 degrees, not very fun but had to get out of the house. Send me a PM and we can exchange numbers and meet up. I plan on making a trip down to Kenai area to meet up with the other two snowbike guys sometime this year.

Been going to Arctic man for 10 years or so and never had any problems, just good fun. Our friends bring all there kids.

So should I take my camper up to Arctic Man to stay in or does everyone go to hotels or what?
You need to camp out so bring the Camper. No hotels around there.

I've got a wr450f with an explorer kit on it and I live in Anchorage. I rode mine a bunch last year and bought a sled this year to keep up on the trails with my sledn' buddies. Long story short i totaled the sled :/ and now I'm back on the 1ski. I had some issues with carb icing and rough running last season, but with the help of this forum I think I've got it figured out. Building a snorkel air intake and shrouding the engine/installing a t-stat this weekend so I should be ready to go in a week or so. I'm looking for some riding buddies in AK too, so pm me if there is anything going on.

Hey Alaska group, so I have decided that I am probably going to sell my kit. Either with the bike or without, depends on what someone wants to do. I have a 2013 kit with the new ski and the gas tank mounted to a 2007 YZ 450F with about 48 hours on the engine. Bike is in decent shape and would come with all the accesories to make it roll again and any extra parts I have for it.
I am asking 5500 for the kit, yes I realize it is $5295 new but after the gas tank $125 and the freight to AK I am trying to minimize my loss. The kit only has about 5 hours on it, still looks brand new pretty much.
Price with the bike is 8700, that part is negotiable a little bit. Just throwing this out there in case any of you are looking to upgrade kits, or bikes or need a new riding buddy. Just let me know if you have any interest. Until then I will be out riding.
