Alaska re-avows 10th Amendment Indepenence

It's great to see the states beginning to flex their powers and begin to defy the Federal government however the supreme court ruled years ago that what the federal government funds the federal government has the right to control so unles these states are willing to begin refusing federal funds they will have no leg to stand on. This began in the 50's with the school milk program, the feds funding a container of milk for each student and ending up with the fed controlling education. These programs were epanded into roads and highways, rural modernizing, law enforcement subsidies and subsidies of every shape and form leaving the state as surrogates of the federal government and the chains will not leave untill all the subsidies end. Swampy:eek::eek:

so let them cut funding and then Alaska can really start drilling oil. Then they can make more money than G.O.D. selling oil to the remaining IDIOT states in the union.

Here's the fun part of that however.
THe states can limit the amount of money sent to the fed. They don't have to give the money to the fed and then try to get it back. As long as they fund their share of the constitutionally mandated programs, the feds can sit and spin.

And how does the state limit the money to the Feds, the feds get it first from the income tax and printing it. Most states that have income taxes the money goes to the fed also. I will bet Alaska as of this date is receiving money from the federal government, thats how the ed keeps them inline. What we need is to repeal the 17th amendment and let the state legislatures appoint the senators as the founding fathers originally set it up and the states would be able to control the fed. Swampy:eek::D

I need to move to Alaska! Do they allow potheads to get their pot for "medicinal" purposes?

Under state law pot is legal for personal use at your home for up to 4 oz.(may be one ounce, not 100% sure). Must be used at your home, cant sell it or transport it. Still illegal under federal law.

Its actually legal in Denver to, and about to be in Breckenridge. The people have spoken. If it wasnt for the federal government, it would already be legal. Lots of people that have families smoke weed. It is far safer than alcohol. Driving after smoking a joint , is a lot safer than driving after a couple drinks, even if you are under the "legal limit".

Where do they find people like you, they must go back in time to the 1920's. You wonder why people hate cops? One word "ignorance"
