Airframes on Assault RMK

Anybody have Skinz Airframes in Black INSTOCK for Pro RMK?

Sled Solutions?....

Anyone?...

I really like these, probably because they look so much like the ones I made a couple of years ago!
They don't look all that bad to install, I don't see how any average joe would be out of their league using a zipcut and and air riveter, shouldn't take more than about 2 hrs with the right tools

This is THE BEST mod I have ever done om a sled! There's NO snow or ice buildup! And the grip is amazing! This is a real "must have" for those who want to improve their sled!

Post some in-the-snow pics if you get them and some close up finished pics please.

I was hoping that when you had it at fifty percent done that you would take it for a ride for a true comparision over stock. Can't blame you for wanting to get it done 100%, sounds like the difference is obvious, thanks for the write up.

got mine in the other day. can't wait to get them on. although mine are not powder coated. guess i didn't specifically request that but didn't know they came in straight aluminum. i guess i'll probably have them powder coated before i install them. definitely would prefer the black powder coat look and function.

after reading through the instructions, which are great by the way, clear concise, good pictures, i was wondering why use two different drill bit sizes for the traction screws? they state to use the larger one on the outside rail and the smaller one for the inside tubes. they are very specific about not using the larger bit on the smaller inside tubes. assuming all the traction screws are the same size (they are all in the same package) what is the purpose of the larger bit if the smaller one works?

I'm just guessing but it's likely becuase the wall thickness is smaller on the inside tubes, the bigger hole on the thinner material might let the screw tear out easier, and the small hole on the thicker tube may be too tight allowing the screw head to twist off when tightening

i have to give out quick props out to paul at sled solutions for the fantastic customer service. somehow i ended up with aluminum boards instead of the black powder coated ones i would prefer and thought i ordered. through a couple of emails we figured out it was mis-communication during the order back in late oct. just as likely (probably more so) my fault than his and he still offered me a discount in having them powder coated or an in store credit for the next item i bought. props for the time and effort he went through. thanks again. sure is nice to see such outstanding customer service from one of our vendors.
