Just thinking about doing one on an '03 1M. I was wondering if anyone has tried doing a snorkle style that sits outside the hood like the 4-stroke Yamaha's do.

Sweet!! Think I will do one as well. Get much more filter surface area this way....

And maybe a ram effect if sized properly? Would be fun to mount filter to the speedo hole. Then a 4" funnel tapering to 3"id nested against the underhood side and a "Y" pipe mounted to the carbs.

If I gutted my air box, blocked off all the other hole in the airbox and just ran a 4 inch snorkel thru my speedo hole. Would I need a box for my efi or would I be safe. Ive got a 2004 mountain cat 900 efi and I run it at 0-2500 feet.
