Air Pods & DPM

I know this subject has been talked about before, but really, why won't it work again. People that talk about adding a SLP High Flow intake never talk about having to rejet or worry about that pressure line in the outside airbox. Could a person find a way to insert the pressure line into a air filter? Some people have great luck, other don't. Just would like to hear from some people who DO have good luck.

I run K & Ns and DPM. Made a hole in the side of the mag pod and siliconed the air temp sensor to it. Also run dust socks. No problems

I'm thinking of going the pods route, typically how bigger of a jet do you need to jump up to from the stock air box?

Anybody else running dpm with them??
How are you doing it, pics would sure be nice.
thanks

I have never ran this sled stock with pods so I can't help you there but I would go up a couple sizes for sure. I would reccomend NOT getting the timbersled set-up

I have it on my 05 and I would not recommend buying it to anyone. First, the aluminum cover is a pain in the @ss. I threw it in the garbage and zip-tied the temp sensor by the filters.
I have a ton of venting and I have never had an issue with powder getting near the filters but I would strongly recommend using prefilters for some added filtration (you NEED IT!)...
Most importantly, My filters weren't sealed completly with glue so there were open holes where dirty air could pass by the ribbs in the filter. I had to pry the chrome endcaps off and re-seal them with black gasketmaker.

I just ordered a couple K&N's (2530'S) and new prefilters...

I run pod filters on my 05' 600ho and just zip tied the sensor near the filters. I had to fatten up the mid and the main and it has run great for 150 miles so far. 55 miles of which were in deep powder running with the hood covered in snow all day.

I am running my 860 with pods and the outer airbox line plumbed in to the mag side filter and the temp sensor zip tied between the two. The motor pulls hard all the way up to 3/4 throttle but as soon as I clamp it the motor bogs. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they were able to correct it.

Make sure that the hose that went to your outer air box( That one must be the temp sensor I guess) isnt kinked any where cuz thats what mine did.:beer;

Yes, you can insert the pressure line. Weld or braze a small chunk of iron flatbar to the outside of the hose clamp that holds the filter on, then drill and tap that spot on the hose clamp and filter for a barbed fitting. Thread the barbed fitting into the hose clamp. Then just plug the pressure line onto the barbed fitting. Clean install and won't come loose.

For me, if I want the pressure line back, I'll just drill weld a small piece of aluminum onto the tubing, thread it and put the barbed fitting there.

Snowsnob, depending on your setup, you may or may not have to re-jet. With the vent lines on my sled running to atmosphere, I'm at 250's with 44mm carbs and twin pipes plus a few other mods (have power jets too, but they are completely closed right now). Stock was 410 on my sled and I'm running about 6000-9000 ft.

You have to be fat on top, it must be getting choked off at wfo. Not sure whos 860 your running. Im running Turboals 860 with pods, but NO dpm. Im using power jets. I can adjust the main jet in seconds. i use the slp vents by the knees and side venting on the panels. No problems.
