I would be worried about that foam filter freezing and clogging.. just run the prefilter

the honda box is 2 pieces held together with rivits. easy to put back together

Bring up an old thread to see if anyone else with an older KX450 was able to figure out a stock design that worked? I ordered a outerwear prefilter (will not use stock foam filter) but trying to find a way to block the side intake vents
