Air Box Delete

no go

did not work. wide open throttle was fine but had a terrible bog/hesitation at off idle to mid range. I had a feeling as the factory intake tract has a seperate small airway that goes to the jets on the outside of the intake horn of the carb. Now i'm gonna go back to the airbox and cut huge holes and cover them with prefilter material. Try to make them removeable so I can service the stock air filter without removing the seat. The problem I have is in fine powder the florite vents I was running could not pass enough air. In wet snow it was fine, so I know im close.I was hopking the snorkel would work so I could clean it off and see it at all times. Suppose I could use the intake tract off the airbox and couple that to a snorkel too. I'm all about r&d so no dissapointment. I'm on backcountry rebels as dirtrebel if you care to see my stuff. Props to timbersled for opening up a whole new world of fun! Oh yeah love that swedish kit if it was the one I saw on the pics thread tedesled right? looks light and very innovative.

I've had problem with snow found its way into the air box. After just a few kilometers the air filter got clogged.
Solved this with a air intake "turbo style". Tubing and the prefilter comes from MCXpress. I did'nt connect directly to the carburetor when jetting and airflow is affected and will perform badly.
Air box is carefully sealed with aluminium plate and duct tape.
Tubing is fitted with a piece of pipe, a welded bracket bolted to the left rear fender mount.

If anybody is interested in buying my intake let me know, it should fit any carb'ed KTM. I have retired the 300 from the snow since I have now mated my CR500 with the MH. This intake won't work on the 500 because the carb is at a different angle, I am keeping the entire design the same just have to use a 60 degree elbow instead of a 22.5 degree. Anyways first $40 takes it and that includes shipping to anywhere in the lower 48. Pictures are in my previous post.

Shoot me a PM if your interested.
