air bags or timbrens?

Kelderman 4 link... best of the best.

You will always have a compliant ride.... empty or fully loaded..and always be level.... with no hassles.

I installed a full kelderman air ride system on a 16 dodge for a customer. This system replaces the factory coil springs. Install ride sensors on all 4 corners and it will do all kinds of cool ****. I had it programmed to lower the truck at hwy speed to improve fuel mileage. The customer also wanted a loading and unloading feature for his dirt bikes. The truck was so tall the ramp was crazy steep trying to unload his bikes. Unload would slam the rear to the bump stops and put the front to max height. End result would lower the tailgate 10" closer to the ground. You could control everything from your phone. Cool stuff. Eric

well, not to throw salt in the wound, but dont say we didnt tell you so haha! im not sure the bags will do much for your side to side issue. they surely wont cure it. if it is very unstable, i think the only thing to cure that is a dually

The timbres would be the cats meow on a truck the hasn't been leveled. It definitely help my truck. I Ran 85 all day today.

ok I installed the timbrens as I expected it helped but did not keep the truck level and it helped the side to side motion by 50%. so I think I will order some bags and a compressor.

Check out the Torklift Stableloads (lowers), they are the cats meow for side to side sway with a bed-full of weight. Much easier than airbags and no worries of failure under load.

I realize jacked up diesels with 35" mud terrain tires rarely see off road use (gravel roads and speed bumps dont count), But air bags flat out suck for articulation. Either the axle articulation will be limited or you will tear an airbag.

How far off the axle did you install them when unloaded? Not sure on Chevy/GM but on all my leveled Rams they worked great, always sat level. But I was only putting two sleds on the deck, not a RZR..

Its too late for you now, but I love my Firestone Riderite. Installed in less that two hours, and I can adjust for various loads. Then when I'm done towing I can let the air out and get my ride quality back. 100% satisfied.

blu du i'm wondering what you ended up doing?

i've got a leveled '16 2500HD that sags quite a bit with my snowmobile trailer and will be much more when we have to put one in the bed.

since you guys all suggested air bags, can they be inflated to actually bring the back end of the truck up? so if my truck is leveled can i fill the bags to raise the back of my truck up by 2 inches? i guess my question is, do they expand in height as you blow them up, or do they just become more rigid and prevent sag?

Yea they will take the sag from hooking a trailer up but if u are leveled u will.probably experience a harsh ride at level. Once u get over 55 psi in the bags the ride goes to sh_t. I bought a 16 gmc 3500 hoping that I wouldn't need bags but still ended up putting them in. I have them on 4 other of my works trucks also. Just drop the coin and u won't be disappointed. U could always just buy the bags and add a compressor later.

my leveled dodge looks like it laying on its azz when i hook my 5th wheel camper up to it. i can pump the bags up to 60 psi and it sits completely level like there is nothing even hooked onto it. HOWEVER, the ride gets pretty harsh with that much air in them. i usually put 35 psi in them and let it sag about and inch. the ride is much better.

with my lighter sled trailer, i put about 20 psi in the bags and its level with the front and rides no worse than stock. (i wouldnt say it rides much better either)
