air bags or timbrens?

what should I get? the timbrens don't help unless you have 1.5" of sag. my truck is level now. and if I went with airbags I would want to run them with 0 air while empty so I don't change the ride and rake. in this pic I have about 4" of sag

I run bags at 10 psi on my f250 crew on daily basis and doesn't change anything 5 is min in my air lift bags. I have the on board little compressor too. But for hauling there awesome weather it's for work or my sled trailer with all the tongue wieght it makes handling way better. So nice to put 75 lbs in remote and watch the trailer/truck level out as it fills bags.

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Spring Kit - Can be run down to 0 psi.

I'm thinking of putting these on mine.

If the Timbrens for your truck set in the stiff or high position take 1.5" to kick in, I wouldn't expect more than about 2" loaded.
I'd go bags if you don't want any sag.

Timbrens

Timbrens all the way! If you can't tell that your truck rides like **** with 0 psi in them you must have too much air pressure in your tires. And if you don't want it to sag then just weld up some extensions for the brackets on the Timbrens like I did for my lifted truck. Just my thoughts.

Another product to consider is Torklift Stableloads. I have the lower mount ones on my truck, they are great! Just a quick flip and they are engaged. The nice thing is just another flip and they are out and your back to your regular suspension, no air leaks or compressors to deal with. I also have Timbrens, but that is because I carry a 3,000lb camper all summer and tow a trailer with ATV's.

Good price for complete rear suspension change... probably less than most spend on tires and wheels.

.

My airlift bags that go on Inside of springs(truck has a gooseneck hitch can't use regular bags) also the compressor was 465 bucks after a 100 mail in rebate and took 4hrs to put on and I would recommend them cus there lift time guarantee on bags. Wouldn't worry about bags breaking -20 90psi mine are fine when I jamb 5 sleds in a 7x27( all In front of first axle but 1 so lots of tongue wieght) or in summer at 90 degrees with 90 psi with 3 tons of rock 1 in bed 2 on trailer with track loader and attachments.

1.5" of sag? I don't think that is accurate.. I've had them on every leveled pickup I own and worked great, especially for $200 and 15 min to install. There when you need them, not there when unloaded. Here they are on my leveled Ram.

I have had Airlift Bags with the on board compressor on the last 2 trucks. Won't ever go without them. I routinely haul 2 6000 lb scissor lifts, on a tandem tilt deck with my 2000 lb gang box on the front stationary deck on the front of the trailer with a bed full of tools. Pump 75 PSI in the bags and it's level and smooth.
Truck is a '15 Chevy Silverado 2500 crew Duramax short box.

Also nice to pump the bags up 20- 30 extra PSI . Get out and crank the tongue jack down to the ground, pop the latch, then dump the bags and drive away. No cranking up the trailers when they're loaded.

I have had bags and on board air on 2 pickups, and no regrets from me either. I ran Firestone products on both. They require a minimum of 5psi to keep the bag from completely collapsing (if you were way over loaded, or drove into a ditch or off camber situation). These 5psi do absolutely nothing to ride height or quality when unloaded.

I got the Firestone wireless air command system. You have a wireless remote in the cab and no wires/air lines to run inside the cab. It makes for an easy install, and it's really nice to be able to adjust pressure on the fly.

I had Firestone bags on an F-250 without a pump. I just set them and left them at 10PSI. It rode a lot better then my F-350

i ordered a set of timbrens. hopfully they will work great for me but if not I will throw them on one of my work trucks and get some bags

i don't have time to install bags and a compressor right now and I need some thing for sunday as I am headed to Nevada elk hunting with my ranger up on my deck

ok I installed the timbrens as I expected it helped but did not keep the truck level and it helped the side to side motion by 50%. so I think I will order some bags and a compressor.

well, not to throw salt in the wound, but dont say we didnt tell you so haha! im not sure the bags will do much for your side to side issue. they surely wont cure it. if it is very unstable, i think the only thing to cure that is a dually
