AHHH poor illegal aliens.

Oh I agree too! That was the point...you have this libby a$$ article....but then people with common sense pipe up. Well you got a few dumb arse libbies saying there usual retarded chit.
 
There has been a major push is Nevada concerning immigration enforcement. The libs are desperatly trying to justify their position.
Reid is seriously worried.
His popularity is down to 29% and he is up for election in 2010.
He has blocked ANY voting on enforcing the laws concerning immigration enforcement and he is taking a beating on it.

That is one reason the libs are pushing their agenda so hard now. They are worried about the who illigal issue for 2010. You will see a major push to get their amnesty thru before the end of this year.
 
They should kick them both and their kids out. Seize the assets held here. Question the employers, loan officers for their house and cars, and fine those businesses in violation to lending or employing an illegal.

What I don't understand is you can recieve a fine up to $250,000 and up to x amount of time in jail for copying a movie with George Clooney in it. Or you can goto jail for selling booze to a minor. But no severe consequences for businesses who employ illegals that cost us billions? I think the problem would possibly solve itself if the govt imposed some hellacious fines for each illegal employed and jail time for employers. Have a national database of legal workforce (Social Security, Dept of labor) where once a potential employee checks out your safe from penalty. If empoyees don't check out notify the INS for interview and possible deportation.

There are laws for fines on employers that employ illegals. When I worked immigration I always fined the employers that I could prove the intent on, but it was always thrown out.

Understood. But why not have something uncontestable. Basically, if discovered that you have an illegal working for you, you pay x amount and or the hiring manager risks imprisonment. That would get alot of folks attention and maybe screen a bit better or turn a blind eye.

I agree. However, a lot of illegals who try and get jobs have fake papers. Most of the time, the fakes are pretty good. So unless these companies are going to spend more $$ on better background checks, they probably won't catch these people. But, even if more $$ is spent, the fakes will just increase in quality, and it will just be a cycle.

I think it is lose/lose. The only thing we can really do is jack the fine WAAAAAYYY up to the point that if the company is caught, they pay out their a$$.
 
There are 2 bills that would make it next to impossible for illigals to get jobs in the US.
It is E-verify and the Save Act.

E-verify is linked directly to the SS admin. It doesn't give you access to any SS numbers, it just allows buisnesses to check the SS of any employee against the SS database to confirm the person is who they say they are and eligible to work in the US.

The Save act requires ALL buissnesses in the US to use E-verify.

It is estimated that over 98% of all illigal immigration criminals would be driven out of the US. It would also allow ICE to easily confirm whether a company is knowingly hiring illigals. If they are using E-verify correctly they are save from procecution. If they aren't, they go to jail. Simple.

The Dem leaders are violently against both E-verify and especially the Save act.
The save act was put forward by a dem. Palosi wouldn't allow the bill to even come up for a vote. She knew if it came up for a vote, it would pass and she couldn't have that with the election coming up. Now they have to bury it because of the promisses they made to the hispanics to grant amnesty if they voted for the Dems.

Now they have a REAL problem.
How to convince the american people it is a good idea to grant amnesty to the 12 million illigals (8 million estimated to be holding jobs) when over 6 million americans have lost their jobs in just the last year.

Going to be interesting because the dems have no choice but to try.
They have to get it done before 2010 or the issue will destroy their chances of holding the house and the senate. Every poll says it is a HUGE issue and only getting worse. They need to get it done before the election so the illigals will be able to vote.
 
Nice post Ollie....I am familiar with E-verify too...great tool. E-verify is great for welfare workers too....so they can check to see if someone is legal and actually eligible for welfare. However, illegals will always get emergency Medicaid for the birth of their children, but I have to pay out of my a$$ after insurance. Gotta love the system!

Ah, you are talking about the "anchor baby" program.
that is where if you give birth to a child inside the boarders of the US the child is automatically a US citizen. An illigal that gives birth to their child inside the US uses the child as an excuse to stay. They are given a green card to stay in the US to care for the child. There are hospitals along the boarder that deliver so many illigal babies it makes up over 40% of the hospitals buisness. Oh, and the illigals are all broke so you and I are paying for it.

At least one parent would have to be a US citizen before the child would be given US citizenship and any illigals would be imidiatly deported.
