Age doesn't matter ... but what is our age?

45..I might have to grow old but I refuse to grow up
Been riding sleds for 22 years. Only rode em a handful of times before I got married.
Same for dirtbikes, 2 or 3 times.(got my first one 3 years ago)(had 4 wheelers for 12)
I traded a racecar motor for a 76 Snojet the fall after I got married. I have been hooked on winter ever since. I have always been a motorhead just never had the opportunity to do any of it til I moved out of my parents.
I like the comment about riding a trash can if you put a motor on it. I don't care what I'm riding or where, I can find a way to have fun on it.
Havent ridden a Timbers led YET. That is the key word, yet.

I am37 for just 4 more days.
My mind still thinks I am 22, problem is my body has been beat to heck and my knees, ankles, shoulders and back feel like I am 72.
But I refuse to stop playing hard until they bury me 6 feet under.
I would rather have 50 or 60 amazing years of life, than 100 boring years.....But that is just me, and many feel differently.

42. Just bought my first snowbike. Can't wait to ride it but by the looks of the snow, I may be a year older before that happens, lol!
A couple more years and the price of entry will come down a little with more used kits to get younger people into it more...I hope. With the price of admission at $7-8k+ for an older bike and a first or 2nd year kit, up to $15k for new before any accessories, it's not for everyone unfortunately.
Cut that cost down by 1/2 if you already have a bike, helps some, but still costly.....
I see less "kids" on sleds too it seems. Being in AK last winter, EVERY guy who has 2 nutz has a sled in the back of his truck. Down in the states it seems like the average age of riders is ever increasing. Out west at least, haven't ridden the trails back east in a lot of years.
Hope it picks up. There are tons of good used machines out there for $2-3k! (Not snowbikes of course)

Well that's at least what my Tshirt says
Im 53 or 54 dont really remember. started riding at bikes at age 4 been riding single skis for over 10 years , snowhawks, two motos, Timbersleds, a ton of fun for sure.
I am also happy to still be in the game racing 500 plus pound Adventure bikes against the 450 boys..They said it couldn't be done. now my shirt says .. Did you just get passed by an Adventure bike.
But my best accomplishment is raising some great kids who also enjoy our this "new" found sport.

64. Been riding sleds for 20 years. Started dirt biking at 11. Going to get a snowbike soon. I have a dialed up 16 Axys Pro 163. I love it but I am pretty sore after a hard day on it riding backcountry with the 40 year Olds. Snowbike riding is easier on the body I hear. I have had 8 surgeries thanks to college football and 20 years of powerlifting, running and crashing things with handlebars. Buried in an avalanche in 04 and had my 11 Pro with a stuck throttle bust me up pretty good in 10. Hematoma's to the femur, twisted back, etc. Also melted my klim pants from the track ripping across my legs. Hip replacement scheduled in 17. My younger sled riding friends always marvel at my ability to ride with them. I can't ruin that by telling them how much I f@#%ing hurt.

I am almost 65. Left hip replaced 8 weeks ago. Been out on the snowbike three times since then. See attached photo. Rice Peak last Saturday. 8,700'

Just turned 60 and gaining speed....Sleds, and now snow bikes. Put a TS on my older KTM and now looking for a newer setup. My setup is a handful on the hardpacked trail getting to the mountain. Once I figure this out going to get one for my wife, life is good.

Am by far the OLD guy in my riding group.
Get 20 - 25 mountain riding days in per year and lots of flatland riding every year.
For me age is a State of Mind. I will keep saying that until my body cannot keep up. haha

Well, now have a Husky501 with a Snowtech 137. All the regular snow stuff plus a PR2, sold the TS120 and bought a Camso for the KTM450 and that will be the wife's for now. Hope to get out next week, rode the sled last week and all I could do was think about how much fun the bike would have been.
