I need to get some small lights for my sled. I was looking into PIAA some of them are pricy whats everyone using? Does the light need certain specs to match the electrical of my sled?

any info appreciated

2 decent quality 55W or 65W fog lights will work fine, they don't have to be PIAA. Just make sure the housings are not weak plastic ones. I ran a set on my Rx1 for 5 seasons, also make sure that you put on 2 cause they can burn out which seems to always happen a night.

I run trail tech HID and they are bright and awesome when they work. One went bad last year and the other one this year. Trail tech has been somewhat difficult to work with since they have a lifetime warranty been without my light for 2 weeks now with no communication.

Only others I may look into are PIAA cross country HIDs if these trail techs continue to fail.

i'm liking the piaa cross country hids but a bit pricey but internal ballast is really nice. i'm hoping to get some decent brightness and be able to see the trail up to 40ft ahead of me. is that asking too much for the smaller lamps?
