Aftermarket LED taillight on a 04 Rev

I installed an aftermarket LED taillight on a 04 Summit Rev and it works great, but now none of the lights or digital readings work on the stock gauge,. Did I need to install some kind of an adapter along with the taillight?

Did you check the relay above the secondary clutch. I have a 2005 summit rev 800, and when I got it out last year, absolutly no lights came on. It ended up that the relay that I am talking about was bad. My local Napa had a replacement in stock for around $10.00. Anyway, the relay is zip tied to the aluminum frame. Other than that, I am pretty sure that the LED lights do not require as much power as the traditional lights do so you may need a voltage regulator of some type or something. I am interested in relocating my tail light too so it will be interesting to see what the fix is. Where did you get your light from? i was told that the 2003 2004 short track MXZ's had the lights in the seat from the factory, so i might try to locate one.

what i would do is that found out how much ohm your old light had then just add the resistors to the led light since led don't draw in alot of voltage and your whole circuit gets different amount of voltage
