Aftermarket handle bar suggestions for PRO

i am 5'10" and am not impressed with the width of the Pro Tapers on my Pro. much of my riding is boondocking and side hilling, no jumping. what would you recommend?

We've trimmed width off of a ton of Pro Tapers. It helps a bunch especially if you aren't a gorilla and actually ride in the serious $hit. I personally don't like the angle the Pro Tapers put your shoulders and elbows in for aggressive riding. They force you elbows to your side or lower than out. Ride any moto or watch moto? Note that you don't have as much body mass balance with your elbows at your side as opposed to up and out in an aggressive riding posture. 10* bars give me a better shoulder/elbow position. I like the ride height of stock just not the angle or the width.

I use FLY or RSI (depends on the sponsor of the day) Both good products and readily available at your local dealer or online.

IIRC from installing hand guards, you can trim about 3/4-1" off each end of the bars. The throttle block mounting allen screw is your limiter, move the TB inwards as far as you can and let that be your inner limit, mirror that lenght for the other side.

You will need new grip warmers too.

I put renthal fatbars on. I got some rox pivot risers 3.5" and with the bar I used they work out to being .5" lower than the stock pro tapers. I cut 1.5" off each bar end, and was able to reuse the grips and heaters and bar hooks.

best part is now when I bend my bars I can go to any moto store and grab some bars, no more wait for my order and paying high prices at polaris.

Personal opinion....you need to try different setups to see what works best for you. You already have three different options on here of what guys like. One thing that seeems to be unanimous is a narrower bar. This is what I used.

Stock Flat Top PRO Rmk Post
RSI Pivot Adapter
RSI 4" Straight Riser
RSI Backcountry Bend Carbon Bars

It is 1/2" Lower than stock, and has approximately a 12* pull back I believe. I love them, setup works really nice. I cut about 1 1/2" off each side as well, and that is the max you can go on this setup without a new smaller throttle block from Fastrax. I have my throttle pinched down and slammed as far as i could get it into the bend of the bars. Plenty of room for my hands, but thats all there is. I dont think the carbon wrapped bars are any better than the chromoly ones....they do look cool though, and of course finish it off with a Bar Pad, your Chest doesnt like the risers much...

One IMPORTANT Note: Be prepared to drill the bars out to fit stock 90* hooks in. Not sure if the set I got was a one time instance but I had to jump this hurdle, just took a good drill, patient steady hand, and a lil time.

LOVE MY SETUP!

I run a 5" FLY riser with FLY bars. I believe they're the Freeride bend. I'm not sure though. I like how they feel on my sled, I can't describe it quite right but it's a better spot than the stock bars. I'll get a good picture this afternoon maybe....

I am about your size (5'9) and I put on the 5" RSI bars and cut them down to the narrowest width. I really like them so far. It sounds like there are a lot good options out there.

I put the 5" RSI bars on my wifes sled and narrowed them up to the last mark, she loves them it made it a totally different sled
