So how and where is everyone storing their Gates belts? I usually twist up my OEM belts and throw them in my tunnel bag. Wanting to try out a Gates belt on my 16 Axys.

Bring it to my mountains, it wont last that long.
The one that blew on me had a couple of strikes against it. I bought it from OReilleys auto parts because it was convenient. Turns out TRS did some asking around and lots of the blown belts came from OReilleys. I suspect they were stored and/or handled improperly. Besides the fact that it was the wrong belt for the application.
Are you seriously suggesting buying the incorrect belt is a good idea when a correct one is available for the same price?

How does one go about getting a gates belt warrantied? Had one go yesterday on my second ride on it...
Hopefully you saved the receipt and cardboard wrapper (with warranty info on inside)Pack the pieces, warranty card, receipt and $10,ship it back to them.
Both the 45c4553's I've bought this fall had the warranty on inside of belt wrapper.
I'm assuming by "wrapper" you mean the cardboard deal that goes around them.
Hmm. Ordered two more today not thinking about the warranty because I specifically checked the inside of the wrapper for it and it was completely blank. Both are burned now so no recovering them. I'll check the new ones. I'm assuming by "wrapper" you mean the cardboard deal that goes around them.
