AF Dirt Riding 2011

Sorry very few pictures but I just wanted to post and say we finally got to AF single track that we ride. It's been way to wet, to many trees down and the damage from winter was overwhelming. The rocks are exposed more, stream crossings are rivers, tree roots are bigger, and not to mention all the damage to the trails from individuals riding to soon. Big ruts everywhere!!!!! I guess it just adds to the fun right? The grass and wild flowers are tall, tall, tall. You can barely see most of the trial in some sections. Fun stuff. I have some helmet cam I'll try getting up sometime soon. We hope to ride a couple times a week if the weather works with us.

Great pictures! Looks like a lot of fun! Thats how the single track trails up here are as well. Crossing rivers, boulders trees, etc. It sure makes it interesting! I need to get down to AF. I've heard its a blast for single tracks.

I do not have any more luck fly fishing/treeing through that stuff. The overgrowth is just unreal this year.
I feel for the bow hunters later this month, animals just have to lay down and disappear.

Hey, No name calling till you get a bike. Just make sure it has E Start or 14" wheels.


Seriously though, AF has been closed up until 2 weeks ago and riding in mud will only close it permanently.

And remember some of those stream crossings are pretty deep for those that don't like to swim. I heard wearing a life vest is a son of a gun to ride in.

It was so fast that I'm surprised I even reacted. Could have been ugly for sure. I was standing so had we clipped bars I would been doing some sort of body armor tuck and roll off the right slope.

Thursday? We went last night and did a little road ride. Figured the trail was to wet from recent storms. I saw some of AF that I've never seen before. And the wild life was everywhere!!

Flowers are beautiful right now. Well what I thought was going to be a scenic road ride changed here and there. I had to follow Ron and he likes to take every trail. Here's one of them. Not a lot of flower looking but they were there, I could see them out of the corner of my eye.

I keep forgetting to leave the Helmet Cam on all the time. It's always right after I turn it off on an easy trails some animal jumps out in front of me and scares the chit out of me.
