Aerocharger

I met the guess from Aerocharger at the snowmobile show in Utah this past weekend. Has anyone have any experience with there products? When people list the top turbo kit makers they never seem to be mentioned. After talking to them they seem to answer all the right questions. Nice bunch of guys, but i am just wondering if there products actual perform as advertised.

Top notch setup, you can also talk to HM turbo, or Turbodoc as they use the areo turbo as-well.
I heard turbo doc is saying 18# and no intercooler.

I have been very impressed with the AeroCharger turbos...Considering one for my sled this year. Very high quality design that works very well and simply with the Polaris sleds from what I've seen ... very high quality units.

..

Ive got one on my dragon. very pleased with HM's kit. I'll probably always have a aero on my sled.

Brad rileys turbo kit is one of the cleanest kits out there and performs very well i will have one on my pro this year the new water to air inter-cooler is going to be sweet, i am excited to have an aerocharger we have ran them for years and never had any failures.

Give me a call I will fill you in the aero kits, there is one specifically that works very very well!!!

MTNTK'S BIG BOOST TURBO

AS FAR AS AREOCHARGER'S GO

We sell the BIG BOOST TURBO by MTNTK it has the cleanest set up and has a cold air intake from stock location no cutting or welding and no sucking under hood hot dirty air into the engine. MTNTK'S BIG BOOST TURBO uses the 66 AREOCHARGER and has an axillary air intake to allow it to run like a naturally aspirated sled on the bottom end. What this means for you is that it will not have the turbo bog. Call Shawn at MTNTK for more questions 208-709-0323 or email him at mtntkdyno@gmail.com

Are you saying 18lbs as in boost, non intercooled? If so id have a hard time believing that. 12 lbs with the cooler is a scary proposition from what ive heard. Im running the Bd intercooled kit this year and was afraid to go to 12lbs even running 1/2 race gas. If anybody has some real life experiance id love to hear what you have to say. I had planned on running 8lbs with the push to pass set at 10lbs. If i can safely run 10 and push to pass at 12 id like to set it up that way. Please chime in here guys?

:face-icon-small-hap--That is 18 lbs, no intercooler, running E85 pump gas

that statement is making me laugh badly!!!! you guys are pushing your luck... anybody with a bit of knowledge knows it is ridiculous!!! this is the kinda statement making snowest going back to dark age.......please stop posting stupidities like that.

I think he's just kidding guys!!!!

And my mistake on the 18# areocharger, I was later told that the turbo is an auto turbo, closed loop efi, no intercooler, with various mods made to motor. Runs at 18#.

The areo will use the intercooler!!!!

18#'s = KABOOM!

Before you guys start doubting, do a little research on the E85. People are doing a lot with this fuel. I have friends running it in their Pro Street cars that have 14.5-1 compression 632 CUI BBs.

Very true statement,But they do not run at o degrees at high elevation. Two different senarios. Not trying to start a bashfest because your statement is true. It takes ~22-25% extra fuel to run E85 and also its about ~105 octane give or take. It will run cooler because of the alcohol but this takes major affect at high elevation starting and so forth. It definetly can be done but it will take some R&D time.

I have been running a BD turbo for three years, two seasons on an 09 dragon and one season on a custom IQR with a 2010 4 injector 800. I started at 8 lbs with pump fuel (91 octane non oxy) years ago and had good luck. I then began to step on the setup more and more, now running 12.5 lbs at 8000 ft and 13.5 around 10000 ft with 30% vp c14 and pump fuel mix. IMO the push to pass button is a joke, with a lot of tinkering I have had no luck making mine do what I want. Just set the boost where you want it and ride. The key is a good set of egts and watch the gauges. A lot of guys I ride with make the mistake of too much race gas and the sleds are a dog on the bottom. It takes a little time to get the numbers right in the box to be able to balance a responsive system with one that still runs good egt temps after long pulls. I have about 35 days of hard running and have never had any engine failures. I think 50/50 race gas for anything less than 12 lbs would be a waste of fuel and performance, assuming you are tuned properly and riding at typical mountain elevations. Good luck, I promise you will never want to ride a non turboed sled ever again.

picking up sled with Aero in a couple weeks.
