I'm installing an aem afr gauge #4100 on my 08 tm1000 sp..

My question is.. do you just hook it up and run in the P1 setting (from factory).. or do you have to calibarte it??

I've used this gauge on previous yamahas and just hooked them up and went.. just checking to see what people are doing.. dont want it to be reading wrong numbers..

thanks rocky

I'm curious to here the answer too this as well, I just put this gauge on my 09 1000 and assumed it would be accurate. I have been checking the plugs as well and it seems like the two readings are in tune with each other but know im gonna check the wash too cause ya got me kinda nervous now!

well the gauges work at idle.. but could watch them after that this weekend.. haha :D..

dave.. have any trips planned for the next couple weeks???.. looking for a ride somewhere..

No calibration needed, simple install minus the welded in exhaust bung. Just power up and go. If you guys have info on what numbers we should be looking for, let me know.

Rocky, no trips planned yet. I need to do some clutch tuning before I go anywhere. I haven't even rode yet!! I guess we took the turbo Rev up one night. I jacked my back all up and need to get it back into condition first. Maybe we can hook up for a Saratoga trip later.
