I can't seem to get my 09 800 dragon to idle? It has the newest re flash and a new top end.....What do i do? I am aware of the small set screw, but its that the problem?

When my voltage regulator was crapping out my sled wouldn't idle all the time.

Normally you would not have to mess with the idle screw or sinc the throttle bodies. First step is clean the belt grime out of the throttle bodies and the reed blocks. Also if you are running v-force check for chipped pedals.

Sled is clean, and there is NO way i would run v-force crap on anything.... not even a weed wacker.

How does a guy check the voltage regulator? Because It didn't idle right before the top end went out, and now i have a new top end (with about 30 miles on it)

low idle

Mine idled fine until I got the 2010 update then it acted funny at idle, seemed to hang up at 1500 for a little bit then drop to 950 or so. I just turned my idle screw up a half turn and now it stays idling at 1700 all the time. Seems to be fine again now.

Once you do that it messes up the T.P.S. setting.

T.P.S. is set w/throttle blades fully closed to a certain voltage.(.70 VOLTS +/- .01 volts)

Then the idle speed screw is opened up until another voltage spec is set.(.94 or .95 volts depending on model)

No further adjustment beyond that.

Yes I understand, I have read the threads and how-to's. Thought I would try this first since it was easy. My sled still runs the same as always on the top, but it just idles WAY better now. I'm happy with it now.
