Adjusting Boost Pressure

I am running a Push Turbo setup on my Nytro. I have seen the boost pressure consistently between 6 and 6.5. I would like to get it to where it is running at 8-8.5 all the time. My riding areas start at about 7500 feet so I am not concerned about that being too much pressure for my area. And I am running a PCV setup on mine that is referenced to boost pressure so the fueling will move itself.

Question is which way do I move the wastegate actuator to increase pressure. Do I shorten the rod or lengthen the rod in order to do that? And anyone with firsthand experience, how far should I move it to start? One turn? Two turns?

I have a push kit as well running a pc5 with autotune, intercooler, and fuel pump upgrade. To increase boost shorten the rod, 2 turns in should get you 2lbs of boost. I would consider while you have it apart buying a boost tee and install it between your actuator and wastgate that way you can easily make changes in boost levels. I have the rod all the way in and use the turbosmart boost tee to adjust my boost, I currently run around 12lbs.

manual boost valve

I have a question on a similar issue, a manual boost controller only increases boost so if I want to run 5lbs boost low and the turn up to 8lbs at elevation. i set my acuator for 5lbs and then use the manual controlller to turn it up 3 right?

Yes, that's exactly what I do. Start off with low boost at the truck and turn it up the higher you go.
