Love the longer lug track but with that comes the chance of you chain making contact with the lug. This MAY wear on your connector link thin keeper so just put in you precheck. Realy realy sucks when it comes loose and piles up into your clutch, tranny housing. Please don't ask me how I know.....

Shave further?

Is it possible to shave that lug down further? I'm asking for the purpose of a 15 ST kit conversion, which I imagine is worse? Does it need larger drop brackets?

The chain has just as much clearance as the older 2" kits from our measurements? If the chain is getting so stretched its hitting, new chains are not that expensive, although losing a masterlink is rather rare if installed the proper direction.

chain slap

I built several kits where the chain was in the paddles, stressed over it a couple of years ago, turned out to be no big deal, even when it looks like there was significant interference, after I cut the track, really didn't make much difference performance wise. Never chit a chain clip ?

Same last year, 2.5 track and after couple hundred miles I see where the long paddles where chain rubbing. I cut a chain groove, but you know, no performance difference. I guess I feel better aobut the chain not hitting the track...........other wise no big deal.

I have a Yeti 2.5 track on my 13 kit. Should I trim track at potential contact points with chain and brake rotor or just let it wear?

Trim Further?

So the consensus is that a 2.5" track conversion for Pre-16 kits will rub, but not enough to be a big concern? Just make sure its part of your pre-check? Should I trim more out of the chain clearance notch to ensure it will never interfere?

Come on guys this is Not a complaint . I was pulling my bike out of the trailer last year and just happened to catch it....the small metal retainer was gone. Just a heads up.....
