never been to Mt adams before, we'd be coming from central oregon, so I guess we could go through hood river or the dalles. Where would be the best place to park? The least amount of trail to get to actual riding the better.

March? There will be plenty of sunny days before then, I can ride during the week, not a weekend warrior. Tour guide anyone?


Hood River, through Trout Lake to Flat top, is that my best bet for getting up on the mtn the quickest?

Are you talking about riding on adams? if so Head to trout lake at the gas station go right follow the road up about 4-6 miles maybe be able to park at snowking or smith butte snow parks. I usually dont ride adams till feb or march.

I understand that the Forest Service recently reniged on where they set the wilderness boundary poles in 2001, when a retiring USFS Troutlake employee set them several hundred yards into the wilderness area with the assistance of the current part time deputy who patrols those boundaries. Did Yakima Indian Rez decide to patrol the south and east side of Adams in order to complete the destruction of Adams as an epic place to snowmobile?

Not sure about this year, but, last year and possibly the year before that, the res wasn't going up to patrol because of a bridge or bridges that were out and weren't being fixed. Doesn't mean it's ok but also could mean something else.

Like adamsrider said, take a right at the gas station in Trout Lake and head up to snowking.
Res hasn't patroled it. But the forest service has 2 people who patrol it. They put up the forest boundary at 7k feet and you aren't supposed to go above that or they will give you a ticket.
