Accurate Tachs?

How accurate are the Poo tachs? Asking because I know Doo's are always reading 100-150 rpms high. I'm hitting 8300 on climbs at the highest altitudes I'll see around here so I'm thinking about adding more weight? 10-62's now and running up to about 7,000 feet? 10-64's may be a bit heavy tho if running deep pow? Conditions were about average the other day.

Cheers,

i think they are fairly accurate but i don't have any actual testing to prove it. either way i would not bump your weights up. if you are seeing 8300 then it is probably about perfect. i doubt it is holding that all the time? It probably spikes then drops a little but never less than 8000.? most sleds do. if you go to 64's then you probably won't not spike much over 8000 and be running between 7700-7900 most of the time. there is a big difference between the sled pulling a constant/constant 7700 rpm vs. 8200. track speed starts to fall off under 8000 (or even a little earlier) and it starts to trench.

Good point, yup it was spiking at 8300 and around 8200 at times which is where it's supposed to be.

Cheers!
