The old grouper can ride!!! We carved some serious powder today, even got a little bit of sunshine. Thanks for the lead Newtrout, as always, stellar!!!
So I was on the way home, coming down from the pass and right after the turn following the "bridge of death", as moon calls it, 12 cars all slipping and sliding, 2 in front of me rail into the wall. pretty good chaos. I get stopped up next to the wall in the fast lane, no one behind me, get ready to go around and BAM!!!! some yahoo rails into my trailer...busts off the hitch and the tongue of the trailer goes between my bumper and below my tailgate and jams up into the spare time.....he bent my ramp and lock down for it, and screws up the hitch clamp thingy. Jacked up my tailgate, bumper and tire mounts....his car is toast, airbags went off and it wouldn't start to get moved over to the side...oh and he was mashed up against the fast lane wall....

Sled is fine, I'm fine, I think most of the people involved were ok....I'm going to read the thread on how to post pictures and then put some up......anyone know a good body shop on the eastside? I would really like to stay in the snoqualmie valley and keep my neighbors working....

So it was YOU!!!!!!!... was heading home and got stopped at Easton. Shut the road down in front of us by about 12 feet.. due to multiple vehicle accident.
There's a place in the valley were taking M's truck to on a recommendation..I'll find the number and forward it to you.

It is only a year old....I looked it over good and it looks fine, except for a couple of small items. I'm going to take it in somewhere to have gone over REAL good.
As for being "the one" that caused the shut down. I was the last to get hit and the first to leave. That trailer didn't move in the back, just pulled along real nice at 40mph...
DUDE!! This is the second great offer of help from you this year.....I'm buying you some drinks next time I see you at a function....Thanks very much. If it's going to be a lengthy issue, I just may be up to see you very soon...

holy crap you passed me and then 5 minutes later i saw you pulled to the left and i noticed your sled was not tied down and to the very back of the trailer... didn't see the tongue through the back of your truck and with that, i couldn't figure out how the hell your sled came loose, but that explains it! sorry about the luck another dodge barley got stopped behind me.

Was a great day.. Rode with Jer yesterday at GC. We dropped down to Swan Lake for better visibility and found that the snow there was untouched and much deeper. That was a great day by itself.
Hooked up with a different crew today. Never been to Woods-n-Steel... wow, the snow was....epic. Yea, that's a good word. Spent a few hundred bucks on future parts (haven't spent it yet, but I'm on A-arm #4 coming up quick..)
Light was flat to slightly sunny.. no matter. The snow was unbelievable, awesome base, great control, fun fun fun.

yammadog, I was in this mess also, Just happened as the stater was passing me while I was on the cellphone, (Bad idea) Got off the phone with the otherhalf and was a sea of brakelights, People cutting infront of me from left lane to far right. I just put on new tires Saturday and they stopped absolutely great! I thought it would go into antilock at 45 but I pumped them at first and then had to lay into them. I was worried about the trailer and sled also but the two behind me were fine, But behind them I saw spinouts and snow flying off the left jersey barrior! What a mess, I am damn lucky the AC isn't part of the freeway! I was about 10 cars back in the ctr. lane from the camper trailer that was rear ended off to the right with all the others. Glad to see everyone is OK in this incident, Goodluck with the repairs.

You will need a new trailer. Then, the insurance company can sell me yours at a salvage price. I was about 2 minutes behind you when this happened. Many pileups behind you trying to stop. Glad to see everyone is OK.

Ice Cap, good to see you! Glad you had fun... how could you not? I am surprised you rallied after staying out so late! NICE PICTURES!
YD, I saw you, but thought you were stopping to offer help. Didn't think you were actually involved! LOL We were probably 100 yards behind you! I got the truck and trailer stopped NO problem and had 2 vehicles around me sliding ALL over the place. One got very close to hitting us. It was crazy to see! I was very thankful for good tires and trailer brakes!
