A Few RMK 900 Set-Up Questions

are changing the torsion springs and front track spring something I can do with the skid on the sled, or is it best and easiest to remove the skid and do it that way?

Thanks in advance everyone

yes leave skid in place, torsion springs are super simple.

suspend the sled on its in the air so track hangs freely, loose rear torque arm bolts in the rear drop bracket, lower the skid down (while leaving from bolt alone) remove the upper wheel, relive cotter pin and rotate old spring off the adjuster block, careful it's tough..slide off old spring and repeat process

Moving rear arm back 5/8" is simple to, drill hole equally in both sides and slide arm back and re bolt (with rear of sled in the air of coarse)

okay guidoxpress, since you talked me into and through this upgrade, I have a question for you. So, I've just completed the torsion springs, the rear torque arm 5/8" adjustment, and the 225lb spring replacement. Upon looking at the 225lb spring and the spring that I took off, should they be different sized? longer perhaps? It's an '05 rmk 900 and the spring I took off seems to be the same as the one that I put on as new!?!? just curious can't wait to get it out in the snow next weekend. Thanks for your input and help answering my questions.

Lol

The old spring is fatter then the 225 and the coils aren't wrapped as tight. Visually different. Sounds like someone already changed the spring to the 225 and u switched it with another 225. It's usually an easy sell if u sell to someone on here

Make sure the tension of 225 is as loose as u can make it without the collar moving on its own.
