I have snowchecked a 2012 Pro 800 155 and took a demo 163 out today. It was a good long day of approx 75miles.The only few issues I had was once while air born the engine had a miss/bog,the only one of the day.The other was coming down the trail on the way home at speed it went into DET mode which felt like I was running out of gas.Sled was not hot at 127deg.The other small observation is the oil light seems to come on early with lots of oil left in the tank
BTW I found no penalty in track length today boondocking all day with the 163.I was climbing stuff I would not be comfortable with my old D800.There is a nite and day diff in this CFI 2 engine to my old CFI4.This new mill pulls hard right to 8250 all day even with the bigger track.Last weekend in a little more snow I was only getting 7700 out of the D800 and never more than 8050 since the rebuild.Gas mileage is also amazing as I have a very Heavy throttle thumb and am always empty @60-65 miles on the D800.I did 75 today and did not run out.Impressive to say the least. This is my second demo ride the first ended early when I had a crash over the bars but today a full long day and I can see why everyone praises the new pro.The best thing I did was flog my old D800 off on it.I look forward to next winter and being on a pro full time.I am wondering If I should have gone 163,but I know I can do well with the 155.I also think all this sled needs is a set of betterBoards and 1 riser
