A/F sensor failure

I am running the NGK afr gauge on my M8T and have had 3 sensors go bad this year. Is anyone else having issues with these sensors? My last sled had a AEM a/f on it and the sensor lasted 2 yrs running 100LL now I am running prem 91 with 10% 110.

Mmmmm sounds funny, sensors are sensors. Bad batch or is the 91 fuel tainted. Odd for sure. Never had problems with my tm8 running avy through the sensor, and never ran mix before but then again stranger things happen.

I can't keep a sensor in mine running straight 100LL. There all the same Bosch sensor I thought. Mines AEM gauge.

Huh.....my aem had no trouble in 3000miles running 100LL. I wonder why some work and some won't. I did notice with this NGK afx the cat seems to idle too low and it seems to restart the warming up cycle a lot don't know if this could be my issue or not.

Try using..

If you are running leaded fuel such as 100LL Av gas, try adding some Decaline run-up fuel additive. It is designed for use in Lycoming aircraft engines to prevent lead build up. It is non flammable and does not require TDG for shipping. It stops lead in the exhaust from coating the sensors which usually kills them in short order.

We stock Decaline, or you can purchase it from Aircraft Mechanical Suppliers.

I think placement had a big part in it. On the proclimb Cpc kit there's not a lot of option after the turbo. It turns 90' hard down. So mines in that 90 taking direct hit of all exhaust pushing around the 90. I also have the two stroke bung extender installed. Haven't got more than 300 miles outta one. Also put a power switch on it as so only turn it on once engine was warmed up so no moisture in it. Dunno if it helped or not. I've pretty much said screw the gauge an know my tune good an watch my dual egts instead. Bin great all season like that.

I am running the same set up as you went through 3 sensors as well kinda sucks at a hundred bucks a pop, im not sure if it has to do with the placement or what have a few friends that run the polaris with the push kit an they havent went through any
