a coule of tune up questions

went for a ditch ride yesterday and the sleds are pretty much ready for the season. I have a couple of little things that i would like to address on my 06 600 IQ

1) when first starting it for the day, you have to hold the throttle in order for it to stay running. It isn't an idle issue, the issue is with the throttle assembly. It seems that the throttle has to engage the safety shut off on the handle bar. If I rest anything on the throttle, it holds it away from the handlebar enough for it to run.

2) again, when sled is started for the first time, the belt seems to remain engaged after you warm it up. If you stop the sled and then restart it, the act of pulling the pull rope will turn the clutch and the sled will creep ahead like the clutch is stuck. After you drive the sled for a few seconds, the clutch operates normally

any help would be appreciated

Have had to replace the throttle block assy due to wear and there are two switches in them its all about timing the pivot wears oval and srews up everything.
Adjust secondary clearence ever so slightly sounds like you are right on "the bubble" is it a new or used belt? Clean clutches?

thanks for the help. I have a old throttle block from a 2004 and it is the same part number so I am going to swap it.

Cleaning the clutches and changing the belt is way to obvious but I will give it a go.

You have to have enough slack in the cable or it will kill the ignition. As for clutch it could be a few different issues. Check belt tension, clutch alignment, and broken motor mounts. If that checks out go through the primary clutch and look for weight or bushing hanging up
