Anybody have any a-arm suggestions. I just noticed that I've got a huge ding on my lower left, and thinking about replacing as a set. What's nice out there?

if your gonna spend the money on an aftermarket setup..
if your extremely hard on your sled...like ME...i vote zbroz all the way...
i hav ethe Holz on my wifes sled, and they are excellent as well, but the zbroz i believe are much stronger, and they give you a taller center of gravity and more clearence due to the lower postioning of the shock..
but if you get the HOLZ, go with their 09 a-arms and get the 09 sway bar setup...or you can buy a $49 adapter for the zbroz arms for the sway abr if you go with them..
either way...zbroz, or holz...your golden..
of drop the extra coin and get the ne Co-Be setup thats coming out..similar to Timbersled, and price is close to $800 or so..
Actually if that entire kit ( 2 lower and 2 Upper a-Arms, and two spindles) is $1000 i'm thinking thats not such a bad idea, because stock a-arms are $150 each for a lower a-arm . Plus even pull off spindles are $200-300. My only concern with an aftermarket front end is what if your in the mountains and you hit a rock (I did this twice) only ones you are going to be able to get is stock.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for including me into the mix of options. Here is an update on my front end kit: I have been running my chromoly aero tube setup with my billet spindles for this season and everything is holding up great. The aero tube is soo expensive to mfg that I decided to go with a billet setup. Unfortunately, I have yet to get the billet arms on the snow. I am working with Polizhunter to CNC them but he has had to move is entire shop which put the arms a couple months behind schedule. I could have another shop do them but I prefer working with and supporting another sledder.
I am still awaiting pricing after machining but I am hoping to be close to the other kits on the market.
The one major difference with my kit is using heim joints (rod ends) for the inner mounts instead of bushings. In theory, if you hit something the heim joint will break instead of bending an arm, in which case you can replace a $15 heim joint instead of a $100+ arm. However, this does increase the total kit cost since there is 8 heim joints. In the past two seasons I have yet to wreck my sled so I have not proven this theory out.
Thanks for the interest and I will make a post when I have the billet front suspension ready to go...
So... I am confused.
Is the front end system I have pictured in my post going to be available? Is that the billet? I love what I'm seeing online and in my pic. It would look HAWT on my sled! Let me know, as A Arms and Spindles are part of my summer mod project...along with 09 Plastics and The CoBe bumper.
Will the rear bumper fit a 06?

The Cobe setup in polished looks pretty damn sweet. It would be interesting to see how the heim joints hold up for wear, as the main mounting point.
Yes those Co-Be arms are VERY SICK looking..
i tend to always look at the $$ different cause i have always had the aftermarket spindles, then LATER i buy a-arms... so I dont factor in the package deal most of going for, of spindles and a-arms at once...
if it were ME...and i was buying the set together, my FIRST choice would be to get the entire Co-Be setup for sure...VERY light weight, great turning raduis and they simply look incredible...
my second choice, would be zbroz a-arms, with the new 09 spindles and third choice would be Holz arms/spindles..
PLUS....if you know a fellow sledder like Polzinhunter is making them...that alone has me sold...
Shes gonna look HAWT this fall!!
I might let you ride it Sean, but I'm going to need to hold on to the title of your 900 while you do. I can't be having you test the tree worthiness of that bumper before I get a chance to....
HELL YEH...that baby is gonna look SICK...wish i was RICH!!
i would love to ride that baby..i have always wanted to try and hillclimb and dangerously ride someone elses sled...for some reason, i have yet to get a chance...thanks for the oppurtunity!!
I am trying to get my poop in a group at the new shop so I can get the a arms done and ride on them before all the snow goes away . I have ridden a set of modified spindles most of the season and they rock.they steer better than anything I've ridden and I have put them to the test with the bungee many times so I know they are strong i think the production version could be even lighter and they already weigh less than holz! This set up will be the chit !
