A Arms on XP

Is there any other way to press the brass ball joint into the lower A Arm on an XP, other than taking it to the dealer and having them charge an hour to use the Skidoo Press Tool. Its only a couple minute job with the right press I would think??

Hey, just rent or buy a ball joint tool kit, it will be able to press it in no pblm.

I threw my ball joint into the freezer, then put some grease on it, heated the a-arm end and it went it quite easily.

I was told this too, have not tried it but makes sense.

Exactly what I was going to say, works on all types of vehicles.

Brute force method, gotta love it.

The freezer/grease on for the ball joint and heating the Arm didn't work for me. I ended up finding a press and it pressed right in using big sockets on both ends. Thanks for the input, much appreciated...

Couldn't you put a nut and bolt through the socket and tighten the bolt to act like a press? No banging required.

No the joint has to press in with the bolt side up
