My user name is when I was born and raised in Anchorage. I live in Snowmass Village, Colorado now. I probably should change my user name. So removing the heat shield and Cerakoting removes some good weight?"The powdercoat shop" does it in Palmer
You realize the above is what prompted the threads here about cerakoted pipes?Ahhh thank you!
Yes it’s all coming full circle! Lol I have been out of the sled game for 20 years or so! Feeling like a newb! I got off the phone with Carl’s 20 minutes ago. Probably going to give it a go!You realize the above is what prompted the threads here about cerakoted pipes?
Yes Sir! That beautiful gal! Stoked for sure!
Another question that should be asked. Does the pipe stay consistently hot enough to provide full consistent stable power with out quirky side effects?Serious question. Does the cerekote effectively reduce heat dissipation to surrounding components?
I’d be curious how a diy /poor man’s lightened pipe would compare heat wise.
The bigger thing you guys are over looking. The Carl's pipe I believe is a stock pipe they modify to work with their 900 kit. And then coat. It's simply not just a stock pipe that's coated.
Is this a 9R? I see the power domes.
While I have no firsthand experience with a cerakoted pipe, I can almost guarantee that it will radiate significantly more heat than a stock pipe with insulation and a clam shell.Serious question. Does the cerekote effectively reduce heat dissipation to surrounding components?
