$9800 Dollar horse wins the 2009 Kentucky Derby

Yes I do... just ask Ollie.....

Wait, was that a personal attack? Kind of a back handed, you are better then me, that was slid right in there for no reason?

Good for you! You certainly are!

haha....you are giving me a good chuckle. :beer;:beer;

That was awesome....I don't watch horse racing, but damned he checked out on everyone and HARD. Must have been on the bottle lol

watched it live, they interview the trainer after the race and the interviewee kept making a big deal about how far of a drive it was from New Mexico (i think) how many hours it took, how the trainer was on crutches..., finally the trainer had enough and said maybe winning the KD will give people more to talk about than how far of a drive it was and walked or crutched off. I lmfao the interview had a dumbfounded look on his face. I love it when underdogs win!!!!!
I saw that interview live too, funny as hell to watch the trainer tell him off then walk away. I haven't seen it posted anywhere, normally it's champagne toasts, I have feeling it was more like a bottle of JD! Cheers to the underdog!:beer;

The $9800 horse aspect is nothing but a media cash grab.

The horse was bought for $9800 as a yearling, but then was sold to its current owner for over 400k.

ESPN mentioned it quickly, then dismissed it as they transitioned into the Sox/Yanks preview. I believe the quote was "The horse was worth more than $9800, he was bought for that price as a yearling, but was then paid 400large for as a two year old"

So, its a great story, and the owner certainly spent less than the other owners, but it's not THAT great of a story.

So how does last years jockey who won the kentucky derby come to ride this 50-1 underdog horse?Somebody must have come across with some large to get him or what?

something fishy...C.I.A rigged it...Obama bet on it...G.M will recieve the winnings..

So M8MAGICANDMYSTERY was right all along? This was another hoax by Obama! :eek: I knew it! They did a pretty good job at getting our hopes up then dropped us like a rock! :( Ha Ha... still a good story line, gotta admit one thing, even for 400K the horse can run, I'd be willing to bet shiek whats his name spent just a bit more green than that! No green for me I guess..oh well, Back to work.

Great race, great story. When that horse came around the last turn, he grabbed another gear and everyone else was in a different race. My money was on General Quarters, a horse that is owned by a retired school principal who is also the trainer, groomer, etc. Pretty much a one man show in his stables. The Preakness should be just as good as the derby this year.

They'll be wishing they hadn't gelded that colt!! They will be missing out on the real money for stud fees!!!
i read somewhere that he wouldn't run, just wanted to get with the gals, then snip snip, and he runs like a bastage now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
