98 polaris 780 slp big bore

Just wondering what this kit was like, any problems with it?i just bought an older rmk and did a little research on the motor and called slp with the vin # that was stamped on the jugs and it happens to be a 780 big bore kit. slp built the motor and I just wanted a 2nd opinion of these motors although the motor runs amazing. what do they use for clutching at sea level? its curently got r-6 heads from slp that are set up for pump gas @ 6,000+ ft but you have to run 110 at the elevation that I will be riding. any additional information would be awesome! just trying to learn a little more about it. the motor may be for sale sometime since I already have 4 other sleds around the shop.

thanks! Drew

The one we had came with specific instructions not to run it at low altitudes.

I want to say that Max at TriCity in Utah was the main tuning source for this motor.

It ran great... then the 800s came out and a ported and single piped 800 would run away from it so it wasn't really a cost effective option any more.

Call Tri-city in Utah, as of a couple of years ago they still had the full tuning specs.
