They made a carbed version of a 900 rmk? I cant think of where this filter would be used either. O well, i guess i have it if i need it.

no carbed 900's but they did make carbed sleds in 05 your dealer is probably and idiot and was giving you the filter that has been used for 20 years instead of looking up what you really needed.

yea, it just seems weird that both dealers from across the state, almost 8 hours away, handed me the same filter, and they were on the computer looking up the schematics. Who knows, Im going to try to go back to the dealer today and get everything sorted out and kindly ask the dealer where I should put my inline filter, and where all these other filters are that he was talking about.

the oil filter is located just under/beside the throttle bodies..easy to get to with throttle bodies off or primary off..but do able with clutch on..

guido, on my '06 the oil filter is under my reservoir just like in the pic I posted earlier.
