900 engine in IQR chasis

Could use some advice.

Just sold one of my 9's and already have the itch for another. The one I sold was converted for trail riding with a 144 track and a bunch of other things. Now I have the opportunity to buy an 2005 IQR with a 2005 900 engine in it. It intrigues me because I have a 2007 IQR with a 600 and I like the way it rides on the trail. So the thought of a "trail" sled with a 900...wow. Power of a 900 on a trail handling sled...and I know the engine. The IQR has kept the 900 oil injection and the Perc.

The guy wants 5000. That would be a fair price for an IQR but I think it's high because of 900.

Advice/thoughts?

Whats up Captain? Yes, I have thought about a project like this on a number of occasions myself. That does seem a little high for an 05 IQR. If it were a newer IQR chassis then maybe. Plus with the 05's, there were several updates that they needed (just like the 05 900's). Alot of it was bulkhead bracing stuff if I recall - which I assume they probably swapped out the entire bulkhead to make the 900 fit. I was thinking of a project like this with a longtrack conversion on it as well.
