900 boging

O.K Guys, so I havent got the sled back into my shop yet to start to look at it but i thought i would send this out to see if anyone had some ideas. I took the sled out on the weekend and went for a ride friday night, everything ran great, put it back in the heated garage that night and we went for a big ride sat.

This weekend was all lake riding and trail and it was realy cold, always around -28c. My problems started when we hit the first powder field, Lean the sled to either the left or the right and she would start to bog out. As soon as i would level it out it cleared up.

A little longer on the ride the sled would not idle anymore, as soon as i let of the throttle she would drop to 500-600 rpm and the MFD would reset. Afer a while it would just die when i came off the throttle.

On our way home from the bar we had to cross a long lake, about 30km, My sled would start to die out and than cut back in. If i hammerd the throttle it would clear up. It almost sounded like it was running on one cyl thean coming back to two. If i let the sled sit for a while and than start it everything would be like normal, Idle fine and be smooth through the entire rpm range, after about 10 mins of riding, it would start to act up.

So today when i get home ill have to start looking into it, first off i will check out fuel pressure, I was wondering with it being so cold if i was freezing up an injector so i put gas line antifreeze in the tank and it didn't seem to help. I was also thinking maybe exhaust valves, but it acts up at idle as well. Will check any way. I also will be checking the TPS.

Any other thoughts you guys might have? would appreciate the brain storm. Thanks alott guys.:noidea:

sounds like classic tp sensor issue, mine would do the same thing i had corrosion on the pins in the tp and a tp sensor that would stick when warm. it would be over 1.5 v at idle one time it was at like 3 volts and i could only run it at 3/4 throttle or more or it would flood out.

check all connections on the sled for moisture, dry them out and put dielectric grease in them make sure no pins have green or white corrosion. also might want to check the fuel pick up lines in the fuel tank.

Thanks BIGGDAWG for the fast responce, i will be checking the adjustment tonight.

dont just check the adjustment you need to check the sweep also, make sure it don't stick, may even want to warm the throttle bodies ups somehow and see if the sensor sticks.
