8th grader faces jail time for failing to remove an NRA shirt

I've seen this in a few places and no where says what he did to the officer? I don't understand what the obstruction was. I think it's pretty sad that it comes down to telling a kid to change his shirt because they don't agree with his opinion.
if I was his parents I would tell him to stand his ground!!!

Need more info about this before I form a opinion. Maybe the school has a dress code like most schools do. You know. Like, no marijuana, weapon, racial innuendos on clothing etc.... If he was doing it just to rebel then he deserves to be punished. Arrested and jail time sound way to severe though.

I am going to guess that he started fighting with the cop or something like that. He is not being fined/jailed for the t-shirt.

I still dont like that a teacher decided it was there place to make them change it. Unless there was already a school dress code involved.

Yeah. I'm thinking there is more to be told in this story! I'm as pro gun as they come. But lately the gun guys are trying to hard to make these story's cater to their side. In turn it just makes them look desperate and in reality. Dis honest.

Maybe he opened up a small eighth grade can of whoopazz on that cop, and the tough guy can't cope?
