88 nonethenol or 91 ethenol

91 ethanol. Run It in everything quads, boat, sleds, lawn equipment. Don't listen to those who say it will ruin your stuff. Did carbs never plug up before ethanol? I work for a school district as a mechanic and all our equiptment has never seen anything but clear gas and guess what, we go through carbs and carb related problems all the time. Imagine that...

Beware of the ethanol boogie man;)

88 non ethenol bad stuff .

Huh? Ethanol is the bad stuff.

When my '13 Pro was stock I ran 88 non ethanol and that sled ran amazing! It depends on your elevation. I ride 9k-11k so detonation is not a problem for me. You want to run the lowest octane you can get away with without detonation. More octane will provide less HP unless you need to have it. You could make the argument that running hotter will wear down pistons faster, but hey, we are in the power sports world.

Ethanol is just bad. It causes water to bind up in your tank causing larger puddles of water to be ingested. Bad.

I ran 88 ethanol free in both my 14 Pro and 13 XM last weekend. Both machines are stock, and they ran great on the 88. I ride 7000+ elevation. As octane requirements are tied to cylinder pressure, and
as you go up in elevation the atmospheric pressure decreases and so does your cylinder pressure (unless your running a turbo). So in theory at least, an engine that is made to run at 91 octane at sea level (which all stock motors are) should have no problem running on 88 at 6000+ elevation.
