I am going to install adjustable needles from a 2007 Summit in my Rk Tek 860. I was told to put the clip in the middle position, but do you put a shim above or below the clip? Or no shim needed? Thanks.

2007 needles run a tad bit richer than the stock needles. On my RKT 860 with the ecm done ,14:1 head, Dyno Port y and pipe and Boysen reeds i ran in middle postion on the 2007 needles as with it raised it ran to rich off the bottom.
Just us the stock needle shim that the carbs came with under the 2007 needle.
Ran 470 mains from 3000ft to 6500ft and 2 gallons of 110 per tank.

what are you guys running for gearing, primary spring, pin weights, ramps, helixs, to compare hp with your mods done

Weight is probably around 16 grams. Track is a 163X16X2.5 Camo Extreme. I am running clicker 2 riding at 9000 feet and above.

433,s is best mountain ramp JMO.
so how does the 433 compare to 413

I like this ramp also...BUT try a 130/290 and a straight 44 cam/stock spring(the 43/47 is gay IMHO)...clickers 1,2 and 3 only IMHO-BJ
BTW- the needle in #3 and stock shim under...adj main jet as RKT recomends...and YES its OK to jet down from stock

I ran the 130/290 ans 160/290 and both work very well below 7000 ft. Above that the 160/320 work better with the tied .66/60
