860 to cat was it the competition??

Whitnessed the cpi sled run exceptionally well, Loved the pull on the thing, almost makes me think about runnin one of those. Too bad it dose not work on the kitty. 860 kit went into the trailer to be replaced with the big 1000 kitty as well...... LOVE IT

Don't think my XP will keep up with my Cat...ask Maxwell?

860 was running even with some little CPI mods.....:o:D;)
put her home in the barn and pulled out the kitty!!!:p

I didn't get to ride my cat much in Tog, it was farmed out to the mighty "860" that limped back to the trailer. Someone was nice enough to let "someone" ride the putty cat so that he didn't miss the rest of the day. His 860 goes good, not sure how close SXPBeatch's sled will be though.....Clutching will make a bid difference in the end. Max is pretty smart cookie, he will finger it out. If i can get the cat to hold a belt, I might mod it a bit??? Won't tell anyone though. Especially BB owners, don't need to be splitting hairs over 2gms again!!!!!!!!!!1 Good luck with your mods, mine RUNS!

Today in almost real snow conditions My SHR860 was pulling 8300 all day on good DEEP climbs. A flawless 58 miles. lets ride:cool:

Big John makes great products

Yeah, I had worked out a good package with John earlier this fall for the 3-4 of our sleds for BB's. Unfortunately, our Nebraska hunt got bagged and so did your road trip to MN to drop off the sleds.
I have rarely, if ever, heard a negative thing in respect to John's products, customer service or generosity!

I feel like I have been preached the gospel. Now my eyes are open. Was on cat for 5 years before switching to doo when the XP came out. THought it was great. I was sure humbled riding that cat. The chassis is night and day different. Has nothing to do with power, the cat is just plain eaiser (by a long shot) to ride. I'll bet there will be at least one 2010 M8 at the doo talk ride.

Almost embarrassed to say the "check engine" light on the 860 that put it into limp mode and put it out of commission for the day was a blown fuse that goes to the headlights, kill switch, hand warmers ect. A 5 second fix. My kill switch had shorted out.

A fuse shouldn't throw that sled into "limp mode" though should it? Also, once it is in limp mode, don't you have to reset it at the dealer?
I would agree Max, the cat, is by far, the easier of the two to ride. For me a 3rd year mobber, night and day handling in the pow over my xp. That said, my XP hasn't missed a beat yet........
