850 No Start- Out of Break In- Ran Great

Thinking out loud here....

If you begin to think it's flooded, can you unhook the fuel pump and try to fire it up and let THAT clear our before the fuel pump sends new fuel in?

If you can get it running at that point, you can move forward from there.

You can do that, but just disabling the pump from running does not stop the injectors from putting more fuel into the engine. the fuel lines, filter, fuel rail are all full of fuel and they hold fuel pressure with the fuel pump off. Its going to keep spraying fuel until the injectors have depleted all of the pressure left in the system.

Holding the throttle wide open before start up puts the EFI system into Clear Flood Mode and the injectors dont even fire.

I always have my hand on the throttle when starting these sleds and usually on a cold start up crack the throttle open a little to give it some air. This is even more important during extra fueling break in mode.

Saw this info on another site..

Polaris is recalling 2019 Polaris 850 Switchback, PRO-RMK, and SKS snowmobiles as a fitting attached to the fuel pump flange assembly (PFA) may crack, which may allow fuel to leak. The recall impacts approximately 250 snowmobiles. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled snowmobiles and contact a Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair. Polaris is contacting all registered owners directly. To search off-road recalls by model or vehicle identification number (VIN), visit http://www.polaris.com/en-us/rider-support/off-road-recalls.
