809 questions

Just bought a sled with an 809 triple in it. No familiar with these motors at all. Any input would be appreciated. It has stock 38 carbs, RKT head. Jaws pipes. What jetting should i use for 6-8000ft? Clutching?? How's the bottom ends hold up? Top end? Power valve maintnenance? Thanks again!!

Any porting done to the engine? Hi-altitude Jaws pipes or trail pipes? RPM? Top and bottom ends are typical Rotax for that era--bullet proof. Exhaust valves are usually not an issue, but it wouldn't hurt to pull the caps and manually check for valve movement. They hold the potential to make some very good, cheap, real power if done right and still be reliable.
