Suprised to find out that the 800r has the longer stroke of the M8 and D8. Both the M8 and D8 are 85x70 and the 800r is 82x75.7. Not sure what the RPM is on the D8 but the M8 sure seems to act like a longer stroke motor with the torquey bottom end and flatter top end. The 800r is more like a short stoke big bore motor, high reving and somewhat peaky. Must be the porting??
