800 update parts backordered?

Just got word today from my dealer today after scheduling an appointment to do the update to both my brother's & my '09 Assaults that parts are backordered with no clue when they will show up.
Dealer stated that they are waiting on at least 5 kits for sleds in their shop.
I saw another thread talking about 2000 kits backordered & estimated ship dates going out to Jan.
Any one know if there is any truth to this, or just rummor?
I'm not very happy if my sled has to sit for a month or so durring riding season.

Nothing wrong with riding it until the parts show up. Just make sure you replace the fuel filter in the mean time.

x3!! Maybe they'll be backordered most of the season and you can have a fresh motor for next season. Sounds good to me!

I had my two done early. But that is what i'm hearing from friends that still need the update. I'm with breeze ride it, there is a good chance that it will be just fine. Remember less than 2% of the sleds had motor problems.
