800 idle

Just got the sled back from shop with new update and was doing the heat cycle break in and the machine idles around 2800 and 3000. Too high i thought? isn't it? Can anyone tell me how to get to a Idle set screw or if there even is one?

It should idle a little higher at first start up and then it comes down to 1700 +/-.

My 800 came back with a 2400 rpm idle at full temp. Tps in the same place when it went in, paint still lined up.

Check to see if the boots are sealed around the throttle bodies. Sounds like too much air???

nope i just crawled in there and took the air box off just to look around and nothing looked out of place?

Polaris spec for idle RPM is 1700. Your TPS is set wrong, idle adjustment is part of the process to set the TPS. It could be just the TPS idle is set wrong or it could be that the TPS baseline setting is off too. I'd take it back to the dealer and have them set it correctly. It's also possible that the TPS itself is bad.

First thing I'd do is back the butterfly stop off a turn or so and see if it comes down.

Maybe make sure that your throttle slack ajuster is not screwed to tight. Just a thought.
