800 Dragon Slop

Hey guys, Heard the 08-10 800 dragon pistons are to small for the cylinders and taking some **** out. I am looking at Wiseco pistons or the Mtn Tek kit. Wiseco top end kit is $355 while Mtn Tek is $585.

Just buy the kit you wont regret it more tq and hp just put one in mine. Even sounds better alot crisper

IMO just get rid of the excessive piston tolerance and it will take care of the piston shirt breaking problems. I feel a forged piston is far superior to the cast. Stronger, lighter, and tighter. Is a longer piston with shim necessary? IMO no. Just get your clearances in spec. Either you re-nick cylinders to fit pistons correct, or put a new pistons that are tighter. Is running the fix kit better than just running wiscoes, probably. But is it needed? IMO no. Remember this is just my theory and at the end of the season I will validate these claims when I pull my motor apart. Part of my theory is formed because the "fix" was back-ordered when I needed it so I just went with wiscoes. Running a fuel controller is the better way to go. If you don't get one or have one, then just make sure not to hold mid throttle cruising down a trail for long extended periods. Look at this thread to give you and idea why you don't want to, and this is on a pro.

No. Hard to get miles on the sled with no snow. I have a couple hundred on it. I am thinking few more trips out and I will pull the exhaust valves and see how they look. I will post what I find.

put the fix kit in!!!! got one in my assault 08 flash and custom pcv map. thing is ****in wicked way more power only way to go. putting a kit in my wifes rmk this summer just because.
